The overall cable length can be extended up to 80ft by daisy chaining up to 5 of these active cables. The cable must be plugged directly into a USB port (either on the PC or a hub). Use a standard 6′ 10′ or 15′ USB cable to reach the desired distance…. More >> Tripp Lite U026-016 USB2.0 16-Feet Certified Active Extension Cable

  1. If this is the extension cord for my Sirius, it’s lovely, but I haven’t used it yet. Rating: 3 / 5

  2. I wanted to use the Tripp Lite active extenion cable to move my Linksys USB wireless adapter to a differnt location in the room. First I used a standard usb 16ft cable I had download speed of 18-54Mbytes. Then I added the Tripp Lite active extenion cable, I only got 1Mbytes/sec transfer rate, which is USB 1.0 standard and not the USB 2.0 standard Rating: 2 / 5

  3. I LIVE IN A METAL BUILDING AND COULD NOT GET ANY RECEPTION CONNECTING TO MY DAUGHTERS SATELITTE TO USE MY COMPUTER FOR E-MAIL AND SEARCHING THE WEB. I MOUNTED AN ANTENNA IN A WOODEN BOX AND CONNECTED IT TO MY COMPUTER WITH SATISFACTORY RESULTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT HIGHLY. Rating: 5 / 5

  4. Works great, I even bought a second one. Keep in mind that this is a USB cable. It has nothing to do with firewire (as the title would lead you to believe). Rating: 5 / 5

  5. I use it with a WiFi antenna in my camper and it keeps the signal from degrading. Works as described! Rating: 5 / 5
